Rabbits are a major agricultural pest within the UK, DEFRA estimate the UK population of rabbits to be around 30 million and rising.  In horticultural and other high-risk crops on average each rabbit can cause £10.00 of crop damage a year. In one day rabbits can eat as much as 1lb of green matter, approximately 1 square yard of winter cereal. It is a statutory requirement for all occupiers of land , whatever the land is used for, to control wild rabbits.  Good rabbit control that is carried out at the right time and in the right way can prove to be very cost effective.

The photograph below was taken at a site in Perthshire that we were called out to control rabbits and you can clearly see the damaged crops.

There are various methods that we use to control rabbits including trapping, shooting, fumigation and ferreting.
