Birds of Prey – The Environmental Solution

Birds of Prey have been used for hundreds of years and are an entirely natural solution for bird control. It helps to reduce the size of the pest bird flock and encourages them to move on. We use Harris Hawks, proven Birds of Prey to implement our environmental solution, nature against nature :

• They are flown near the site of the pest birds
• The presence of birds of prey is enough to frighten away the most determined of pests
• They convince the nesting/roosting birds there is a real danger and encourage them to look for safer sites for nesting
• It helps to reduce the number of nests and eggs on the site
• This in turn reduces the size of flock and young birds and future breeding numbers

Egg and Nest Removal

This method of control is very effective in reducing the size of the flock of your pest birds and also encourages them to move on to safer nesting sites in subsequent years :

• The removal of the eggs prevents adult birds raising young on site
• It helps to reduce the number of nests and eggs on the site
• This in turn reduces the size of flock and young birds and future breeding numbers
• Hawks, see above, can be flown to scare the birds away whilst the eggs are removed
• Over a period of 6 visits, the eggs are removed, with the final visit including the removal of the nest

Bird Proofing

As the pest birds are moved on, we would always recommend a form of proofing to prevent any re-occurrence of the problem.
