On this occasion we were called to a property in Perth, the owner of the property had reported seeing insects which looked like cockroaches. We put in place some pheromone traps which catch cockroaches and help us to identify what species it is that has been infesting the property. They also help us to find the hotspots of activity.

On this occasion it was German Cockroaches which was the problem.

Now that all the snow has finally melted we can start our mole control services.  We were called in to this property to trap the offending moles which had been creating large amounts of mole hills throughout the garden.

In these pictures fresh mole hills are clearly evident. These mole hills are part of the moles feeding runs which it will expand if it is not catching enough worms.

This is a photo of a mole tunnel.  The moles create a network of tunnels underground.  Feeding tunnels are normally 2-3 inches below the surface. Our preferred method of mole control is trapping.

Over the last couple of years we have seen a dramatic increase in the number of call-outs to deal with Moths.  One of the most common species of Moth is the Common Clothes Moth - Tineola bisselliella    .

Unfortunately these moths can cause considerable damage to natural fibres in carpets, clothing etc. We are normally called in once damage is discovered similar to the photos below.

The favorite spots are often in dark areas, such as under sideboards which are infrequently moved, or around the edges of carpets.

Thankfully we have many years experience in dealing with these pests and have proven methods of controlling then.

One of our ways of checking for moths can be by the use of pheromone traps. These traps work well at identifying areas where moths are actively flying.

Unfortunately they do not catch the larvae therefore the damage will already have been done by the time they are caught.
